Book Review: The Alchemist

The Alchemist is written by renowned Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. The Alchemist is a magical fable about life and following dream. In this book, Santiago, a shepherd boy traveled from his house to Egypt through big desert to find his hidden treasure. His dream was to find his treasure, so he fought with lots of obstacles to get his dream with following omens. Paulo Coelho describes in this book about life, dreams, obstacles, struggles and love. He tells that the secret behind the great success is confidence and listen only to heart inside us.

Dina's view of Nepal

Nepal is a little Asian country in the middle of two big countries: China and India. Nepal is country with multi-culture, multi-language and multi religion. Nepal is very little country with lots of natural beauty. It has lots of beautiful mountain ranges, waterfalls, streams, rivers and more. In Nepal, there are famous mountains like Mt. Everest, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machchapuchchre and more and there are nice mountain ranges. Though Nepal is very rich in natural resources but here are lots of problems like unemployment, corruption, political problems, overdependence on other countries.
The main problem of Nepal is political problem, because of it Nepal's situation is going worse.

Nature of Nangi


Nangi is a small village, it is located at western part of Nepal in Myagdi district. It is in 3000 meters heights. Nangi is remote village with beautiful nature. Streams, waterfalls, forests made Nangi more beautiful. Here’s a lots of fields. Main crops that are grows here are corn, potato, millet, wheat and so on and also here’re many kinds of trees like pine trees, rhododendron trees, poplar trees, oak trees and more. Nangi is surrounded by hills but you can see a nice view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machchapuchchre and Nirlgiri mountain ranges and other beauty of nature. It rains a lot in Monson season and doesn’t rain much in winter season.

The name of my Village is Nagi. There are many kinds of usefully different things such as beauty of nature and the population mostly they grow mustard, millet, maize. It is very cold in spring season . The houses are made by stone and soil. The villagers are obedient, honest and helpful to each other. Hense, it is a very popular place because Mahabir Pun was born here.

General Information about Nangi: Himanchal Higher Secondary School

The school name is Himanchal Higher Secondary School. It is located in Nepal, west of Nepal, at Myagdi district, Ramche 2 near Nangi village. The school has hostels. The hostels are like a small cottage. It is made of tin and wood. In the hostels the students cook for themselves. Each hostel two students have to stay. The school has a clinic and a library also. They are in the hostel area. In hostel and school there are compost toilets and water tanks. It has paper making and a canteen also. The school has a round house. The round house was made by stone, wood and mud. It is safe and round. It is used for volunteers and teachers to live in. In front of the round house there is a green house. It is used to grow green vegetables. In the school there is a computer lab and maths lab. In the school Mahabir Pun has connected wireless internet. In school and hostel area there are many kinds of trees and green grass. In the school there are three playgrounds. Volleyball, basketball and football playing ground.
